About

Hi! I'm Kevin Huynh, a New York City–based maker and operations leader.

This website is my body of work (and play!). I experiment across software, writing, video, and art. Putting things into the world to see what comes back.

Over the past 15 years, I've built operations for businesses, nonprofits, and grassroots orgs. Most recently, I led operations at Substack for nearly five years. I joined the leadership team, overseeing core functions during a formative period for the company.

Before that, I co-founded People & Company—a community strategy firm advising clients like Nike, Porsche, and Substack until our acquisition in 2021. Co-writing Get Together remains the work I'm proudest of. It's a bestselling book about building a community with your people, published by Stripe Press and translated into multiple languages.

I started my career in NYC running ops for CreativeMornings, a global creative community we grew to 105 cities during my time. Earlier roles include conference organizer, Deloitte consultant, and wave & tidal energy intern. Ask me about them sometime!

I grew up in Niwot, Colorado, studied mechanical engineering at UC Berkeley, and now live in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, with my partner Yoko, a toddler, and our cat Soleil.
